Aion Online: Divine Points

Divine Points are a mystery to many players of Aion Online. The only time new players begin to notice divine points is when they start glowing. Actually there are three different auras and they don’t exist just to make your character look shiny. At lower levels you will not be able to see other player’s divine auras until you are level 10.

So what are divine points really? Well they are points you get awarded every time you kill a mob after you reach level 10 and become a Daeva. The Divine Point bar is found below the Hit and Mana Point bars. The interesting thing about the Divine Point bar is that you can fill it up three times for a total of 4,000 points.

So what are the points used for?

Skills: There are actually divine skills which require divine points to be activated. The lowest costing is 2,000 divine points and the highest is 4,000. There are multiple skills and they are different for each class.

Criticals: Retaining divine power can be advantageous since it increases your chances of critically hitting in melee as well as critically healing.

Crafting: That is right divine points even help with crafting! The more points you have the more it improves your chances of creating a “Noble” variant of the item. So its worth grinding for a little bit for doing any major crafting to make sure you increase your chances of a proc while crafting.

Morphing: Another topic many players know little about when they first start playing. When you became a Daeva you received a new skill called Morph Substances. This ability lets you use Aether powder, which is found by using your Aether Extraction ability on vortexes found in the sky. Aether is the building block of everything in Aion so it is only logical that from these building blocks you can morph it into any substance. The act of morphing the powder into a material costs divine points, starting at 200 divine points and increasing as the objects get more difficult.

When do you lose your divine points?

Sadly after you log out or upon death. That is why a lot of players tend to use divine skills in battle right away. Sometimes you will see crafters grinding for a short while and than warping back to begin their crafting session.

So that’s what divine points are all about. They can be used in combat for special skills, crafting, morphing and can help you be more effective in battle by landing more critical hits or heals. Overall not too shabby and you get a shiny glow out of it too!
