5 Restaurant City Drink Tips

Posted by WebMaster | Posted in Facebook Games | Posted on 28-07-2009

Restaurant City now has a new category in the menu, its drinks! Oh boy so what does that mean? Well here are some tips and tricks to help you out.

1) What is different about drinks and how do I serve them?

They are just like starters, mains and desserts. You can choose up to three drinks to serve. While the other 3 categories use a stove you have to buy yourself a soda dispenser (1200 coins) or a fridge (2400 coins).

2) Any difference in leveling drinks?

Nope. Just collect the new ingredients like water, ice, coffee beans and tea leaves.

3) Who serves the drinks?

Waiters serve the drinks, so you need to make sure they have access to your shiny new machines. This also means less time for them to clean dirty dishes. So it looks like the best staff allocation and island layouts with 8 staff would look like:

2 islands: 2 chef, 2 waiters.
1 island: 3 chef, 4 waiters, 1 cleaner.

4) Do you get gourmet point for serving drinks?

You bet! It works just like a normal dish, once a waiter clears the dirty glass you get your gourmet points.

5) How long does it take for a waiter to prepare a drink?

If your waiter is at or above 80% energy it will take a waiter around 12-13 seconds to finish making a drink. While for a cook they need 16 seconds to finish creating their masterpiece.

Restaurant City Facebook: Waiters Misbehaving

Well I was never a huge fan of facebook until I got addicted to a little game called Restaurant City. You basically own your own restaurant, hire friends to work as cooks, waiters or cleaners. The cleaners is fun because you can have your friends clean your restaurants toilets :D

As you progress through the game your restaurant and staff gets bigger and you need to setup more and more tables which means its time to get more creative with table layouts. Eventually you realize you need two islands since you have so many cooks but don’t want your waiters running from one end of the restaurant to the other just to serve your customers. The best ratio I found so far is 3 cooks : 1 waiter and 1 cook : 3 tables.

Taking the ratios into account it makes sense to have two islands, however once you set this up sometimes your waiters misbehave and don’t split up but crowd around one island. This drove me nuts for a while until I figured something out, try switching your stoves around by either spinning them around or switching one out for another. It may take one or two tries but it will work. I know it sounds stupid but I think the game connects a waiter to a given stove. After swapping them around it seems to fix the waiter issue. I swear I was going to give one of them the boot until I figured this out.
