Fallen Earth: Fallout 3 Multiplayer?

A new MMO, Fallen Earth, has just been released along side with a well polished Fantasy MMO Aion and a new super hero MMO Champions Online so there is some stiff competition.

At first look Fallen Earth looks like a multiplayer Fallout 3, which in my opinion sounds great, especially if you are in the mood for a more gritter game play than other MMO’s. The graphics aren’t up there with Aion or Champions Online but they are going for a different feel and they aren’t that bad as people make it out to be. The major selling points of Fallen Earth is the first person shooter action in an MMO which is huge for FPS style players, a classes system letting you build your character as you want like Fallout, different back story than most MMO and crafting being a HUGE part of this game, 95% of all in game items are actually craftable. Players who love to collect materials, craft and really earn the gear or mount they are using than Fallen Earth looks like a good choice for you.

Will it take off like Aion’s and Champions Online’s popularity? Maybe not, but it will grab gamers looking for a shooting style MMO with gore, a slower pace and a more open ended style of playing. I would put this MMO in the same categorey as an EvE Online, they won’t be pulling in big crowds or a lot of young players but they may find their niche. Checkout the videos below which will give you some more info. GooGaming.com will be playing and keeping its eye on this MMO for sure.
