One of the biggest questions of most players waiting for Champions Online is will there be any PvP? Well the answer is YES! The better questions is how?

Well the game designers felt that open world PvP didn’t make much sense especially for roleplaying. It wouldn’t make much sense if one super hero runs into another and just takes a swing. So Champions Online has come up with a few PvP types:

Dueling

Just like in many other MMO’s dueling is the very basic PvP option. Champions can fight other champions to help hone their skills anytime anywhere.

Free for All

There will be an every man for them self tournament style PvP option. This will be conducted in an underground arena which will be the main PvP area.

Team based

Lastly, team based PvP will also be available again in the underground arena. There will be scenarios such as attack and defend and possibly capture the flag.

So it looks like PvP will definitely be available in Champions Online, even though there is no open world PvP option it seems there will be a lot of hero versus hero fighting available.
